I went to the RA Summer Exhibition today. And this is my favourite piece. It asks you to do something you can’t. You can’t watch the lively and joyful “centre”, or “this space”. Your eye gets diverted to the dirty spots at the corners. Yeah, that’s why people love to hate watching news coverage of crimes and wars.
And no, it was not shown in the exhibition (I never said it was). This is the back side of a garbage container or something. I took this photo AFTER I left the RA building.
